Product Description
The Dean Martin Celebrity Roasts featured such well-knowns as: DEAN MARTIN, GEORGE BURNS, MILTON BERLE, JACK BENNY, JIMMY STEWART, DON RICKLES, RICH LITTLE, TOTIE FIELDS, PHYLLIS DILLER, FOSTER BROOKS, RUTH BUZZI AND MANY MORE! He floats like a butterfly and stings like a bee. Muhammed Ali, "The Greatest," steps into the ring with roastees that include Howard Cosell, Freddie Prinze, and a very young Billy Crystal from 1976. Next, before there was Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa, there was Henry "Hank" Aaron, the greatest home run hitter of all time, who is honored in this 1974 Dean Martin Celebrity Roast. This special video contains two of the "greatest" roasts from this classic television series. The Dean Martin Celebrity Roasts featured the "Man of the Hour" who sat through insults, put downs and jokes from a panel of legendary celebrities. Dean along with his pals took shots at the honored guest and at each other.

5 out of 5 stars Ali Roasted by Martin and Friends   February 5, 2007
James Koenig (Minnesota)
In the mid-1970's, Dean Martin hosted a semi-regular roast show on Thursday nights that honored/roasted famous celebrities of the time. Muhammad Ali was the "roastee" in 1976. The panel that roasts him is very funny, with Howard Cosel and a very young Billy Crystal bringing many hilarious moments. Ali is in fine form as well, bantering particularly with Cosell.

It is a very entertaining show and well worth the cost to any Ali fan or fan of comedy. The jokes are plentiful and it is enjoyable to watch more than once.

Jim "Konedog" Koenig
