Too short... September 7, 2008 J. Crawford (FL, USA) This was a gift to our son at 13 months old. He couldn't walk yet, but he was already too tall to really play with this toy. He has to kneel down or sit if he wants to play with it. The voice on our unit is kind of muffled and hard to understand. That aside, it's annoying to us that it only says 3 or 4 things over and over again. This toy is a dud for us. Even when we try to play with it to catch his attention, he is not interested. On the rare occasion that he does play with it, he hits the ball with the bat or his hand and the unit wobbles or tips over. I do think this toy might be good for a baby that has just mastered the ability to sit on their own. Perhaps around the 6 month age range.
Stability Aside, This Toy Is Just Fine July 20, 2008 K. Fontenot (The Bayou State) Playskool's Swing N' Score Baseball toy is a fun toy for youngsters aged nine months and up. I wouldn't expect children over the age of two years to find much use for this toy. It lights up when kids touch homeplate or swing the ball around on its post. My son, who just turned twelve months, prefers to hit at the ball with his hands more than the bat. He does enjoy swinging the bat around, however, but not at the ball. He enjoys the music and the lights also. The only complaint that I have about this toy is the stability. If your little one has a decent swing, the toy will move around rather easily and possibly even fall over. Others have complained about the heighth of the toy, but I don't see it as a problem until the child grows a bit taller. This product is suggested for children over nine months, but it doesn't say anything about three and four year olds playing with it. For what it is and when used within its age range, this is a fun toy that will provides hours of giggles for kids.
You Hit a Tripple!!!!!!!!!!!! January 12, 2008 M. Ditmore (Bend, OR) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
We got this for our boy who just turned 1 because he hits at everything. I would say he plays with it ocasionally but he's got allot of options. It's fun for a few minutes and then it's on to the next. This toy is probably best when child is seated and agee that the height adjustment is useless. He mostly hits it with his hand and not the bat, but overall it's okay, and a little entertaining. This does not meen that he won't enjoy it more when he's a little older, again he just turned 1.
Oh No!!! January 7, 2008 Amanda Heath (RhiannasMom) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This toy comes up to my ankle!!! It's so small, my daughter who weighs 15 lbs & is 12 months it looks too small for her!! It's really pretty boring, she doesnt really like this one at all!!! It holds her attention when the lights light up but, I get sick of playing with it... hehe i'm always playing with it to get her interested!! Not good for any age!!
