The kids love it February 15, 2008 Lloyd F. Kautz (Seattle, WA United States) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
My kids reach for this game first when using the Game Cube. It is easy to play, but has many opportunities to increase ones skill.
Great game, but some quirks August 24, 2007 J. Kruse 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I bought this for my 7 year old son. He really enjoys playing it. Both he and I have spent a lot of time on it. It has some "special" hits and pitches that make it more interesting and it's fun to see the different pro baseball players mixed in. The controls are easy to do and my son picked up on it easily. It does have a few problems that go beyond the announcer saying the same thing over and over again. For instance, sometimes the outfielder will actually skip or disappear and reappear a few feet from where he was previously. This is nothing compared to the disappointment of my son spending hours playing his season team only to find out that the autosave was not saving like it promised. He would turn it on later only to find that all the work he did is lost. I found the only way to occasionally get the save to work is if I close completely to the main menu. The announcer also makes calls that are not true. The ball gets hit to right field and the announcer states that the short stop will get the ball. The ball is hit in the air, it says it's a ground ball. Overall, it's a lot of fun if you can get past the weird glitches.
Great fun for the kids. June 1, 2007 Lisa C. Palatsky (Albany, NY) 4 out of 7 found this review helpful
My 2 boys, ages 5 and 7, love this game and play it often. Great addition to any library.
