A GREAT GAME!! Sammy Sosa High Heat Baseball 2001 November 25, 2000 John F. Barrows (The California Coast) 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
High Heat Baseball is the #1 game by the #1 Developer of Electronic games! This is the game that will please anyone from the action gamer to the baseball fanatic and everyone in between. As an avid gamer I whole heartedly agree with what the most respected game reviewers have said. That High Heat baseball is truely the best sports game made! There's no doubt! However, wait for High Heat Baseball 2002 because it will be even better!

The TV commercial for this game has Sammy Sosa saying "it's so real." Well, its not. It is impressive with the detailed features such as stats tracking, minor league management, and career mode. The actual game play and the graphics only pars with games that were released 5 years ago. Every player looks and moves the same. It seemed like they are running on air. There are also some issues with rosters in the game. For example, whatever happened to Benny Abayani of the Mets? Where's Timo Perez in the farm system? Sportsline baseball 95 had real players in the farm system, not this one. If most the attention of non-game play details of this game could be combined with the playibility of Triple Play 2001, then that would be the ultimate baseball game.
Best Baseball Game Ever October 28, 2000 5 out of 8 found this review helpful
I've never had so much fun playing a baseball game before. Only problem with the game is that you get hooked. Graphics are great and overall play is just great. Eventually the play by play get annoying but I guess that will happen with any game if you're playing it so much.
