With three AA batteries included, this organizer is ready to go right away. Just make sure to flip the switch on the back from "Try Me" to "Play" before you turn the unit on. The stylus pen and touch screen are easy to use, but you may have to help younger users get used to the motions that make their pet move. Though bubbles above the pet's head will let you know how to keep it happy. The park is a good place to start having fun. There are 14 different games and activities to keep your child and her pet entertained. Each one lasts 60 seconds. Aim to pop the most balloons as they go by, or get competitive by playing fetch and tetherball. Touch the sign in the park to see the latest high scores. When your pet needs a change of pace, head to the shop and pick out shoes, tops, wigs, and accessories for a pet photo shoot. Leading your pet all the way through the store can be a little tricky at first, but it gets easier with just a little practice. Once her pet is dressed, your child can pick out a favorite background and save up to four photos. Back in pet's room, one of these photos can be displayed on the wall. And don't forget to feed your pet, who is sure to be hungry after all those activities. Practical Applications
Since your little girl will want to take her pet everywhere she goes, it's convenient that the unit doubles as a calculator, an address book with space for keeping tabs on new friends' birthdays, and a calendar that spans from now until December 31, 2010. My daughter recently received this (in green) from her aunt and uncle as an early Christmas present. She hasn't stopped playing with it since she got it. There are tons of activities and she loves taking care of the little pet. She put all of her friend's names, phone numbers and birthdays in the planner (just for the fun of it). I like the fact that the screen is backlit so she can play it in the car at night or in low light in her room before going to bed. I think she will play with this toy for a long time...not like some other toys that are fun for the first week, this one will continue to be great fun for her! I highly recommend this toy! Oh, and she had no problem getting the stylus to work but I do have to remind her now and then not to push too hard on the screen with it.

I purchased this last week and paid $26.77 and I look today and the price is $19.99. As much as I love shopping at Amazon this really annoys me. Times are very hard for most of us and stuff like that bother me. It makes me not want to order from Amazon again. I think it is a shame that this kind of thing happens and makes you feel like you were ripped off.

I always hesitate to spend money on little gadgets because often they don't live up to my child's expectation and are quickly put aside after the newness wears off. My daughter really enjoys the organizer and even her Chicago cousin convinced her mom to buy one after playing with my daughter's. I highly recommend this toy!
