Stamina Electronic Mini-Stepper
Product Description The Stamina Electronic Mini-stepper will get you on the road to good health and fitness. Stair climbing continues to be one of the most well known and beneficial exercises because it exercises and tones the largest muscles in the body (buttocks, hips, and thighs), plus it's a great fat-burning workout. It's also a great cardiovascular exercise. This stepper has a small, compact design that makes it perfect for home or office. The sturdy steel construction is durable, and this stepper features a counter and timer display. About Stair Steppers Stair steppers continue to be popular options for home exercise. They offer the same benefits as running stairs, but with the "any time, in any weather, without having to leave the comfort and safety of your home" added convenience. Stair steppers don't take up much space, require moderate balance and coordination, and can provide an effective work-out for all levels of users, from beginners to serious competitors. Following on the heels of treadmills and exercise bikes, stair steppers took their first step towards fitness machine success in the early 1980s. Like most exercise equipment, stair steppers have come a long way technically speaking. Advanced computers on most newer models allow users to track their vitals at a glance. However, the most important benefits of stair steppers are still the basic ways they provide excellent cardiovascular workouts that get the heart pounding, along with the impact the exercise has on muscle tone in the legs, thighs and buttocks. Stair steppers continue to offer an exercise that is less jarring than treadmills, but more intense than elliptical trainers.

Great product! September 29, 2008 aitchsee (Los Angeles) I was a little skeptical when I read some of the reviews where people had problems with it breaking, but I am so glad I bought this stepper. I've been using it for a month, 6 days a week and no problems so far. It gives me a great workout. The only criticism I have is that the counter is inaccurate, but I just keep track of my progress using the timer instead of the number of steps. Also, it did squeak a little bit, but I read a suggestion from another reviewer recommending to WD40 the cable ends and the squeaking stopped immediately. A great product for the price. I hate exercising, but don't mind it using this stepper. I've already lost 10 pounds!
poor design September 28, 2008 no athlete Poorly designed, there is a metal strap that connects the foot pads together. I broke 5 of them in the 90 warranty period. I give them 2 stars, one because it is good exercise if you get to use it, and one because they did send the replacement parts quickly. I had to wait a month for the first replacement, but then usually only about the week for each of the others. They told me it was "not designed for a dedicated athlete like myself". What a crock. If you are looking for a decorative piece to sit in the corner this will probably do. But if you actually want to get some exercise I would look elsewhere. It seems to be a recurring theme with this company, look at reviews of some other products they sell.
Works the Buns September 16, 2008 B. Andrade (Long Island NY) This thing works. You will feel it right away in your butt and thighs. It does take time to get a rythm going because its really hard to keep your balance. I finally decided to wrap my exercise bands under it and hold onto them for balance. This made a Huge difference and now I put the stepper to good use.
Expect many repairs September 10, 2008 Gabe Cunningham In the 9 months I have owned this stepper, the cable has broken twice, and two bolts that are attached to the steps have snapped clean off. I used this product for about 30-40 minutes a day, a few days a week, which I wouldn't think would cause undue wear and tear. I thought that owning my own stepper would be convenient - but the number of repairs required has made it very inconvenient.
I love it! August 26, 2008 Zi Jones David (Cleveland, Ohio) I've only had this for about a month and i'm enjoying it so far. the only exericise i get is walking where i have to go. yes, the machine started squeaking within a wee. most of the time i'm listening to music so i dont much hear it. i think the squeaking is still worth. something i also like about this is that you actually feel it working. i'm only doing 215 steps for now but i feel better physically.
